Description
This is the story of my life, yeah, this is where i come from, all i have endured until now, read it and make a religion of that.

An intimate look into an often misunderstood genius

Tachy, real name Guy Le Francois IV, is like any Frenchman - arrogant. He was born in the small village of Paris, France in the year of 1972. A good year for wines and talented French artists. His childhood was uneventful, except for a few instances of heroism seemingly out of a fairy tale. But while his life seems like a fairy tale from the outside, it belies the often harsh reality of being so talented.

At the age of 7, Tachy was walking home from school when he smelled smoke, tracing it to a building he rushed in, finding no one he was preparing to run back out and summon the fire department when he hear the crying. He ran into a smoke filled room to find 6 kittens, whose mother had been overcome by the smoke. Thinking quickly he grabbed a blanket, scooped up the cats and ran out into the street, where he found that the mother cat was not breathing. Having seen CPR on TV, but never having been trained, he did his best to give the mother cat CPR, an act which saved her life. The owner of the house which caught fire was so thankful for him saving her cats she gave him $5, which he put into a bank account. This was to be a life changing event, something he did not know at the time.

Years later that $5 had gained interest, and when Tachy was first introduced to 3D software, he knew he had to have it. He took the money he had gotten from saving the cats and bought his first 3D software, the world was about to change. His love for 3D took off like a rocket, and he was soon creating meshes of a quality unheard of by an amateur. Before too long the professional world was taking notice, Tachy was being constantly bombarded with requests for him to work at Industrial Light and Magic, Foundation Imaging, and other great CG houses. Feeling that a change was in order Tachy traveled to Hollywood and started putting his 3D skills to good use in movies such as Star Wars Episode I, Titanic and Toy Story II. But he was growing tired of the "Hollywood scene." Before long he gave up his lucrative career in films and moved back to France.

In France he was a household name like Charles De Gaulle or Jerry Lewis. But the fame and fortune had worn on Tachy, he couldn't go to the supermarket without being mobbed by fans. Detractors, mostly jealous of Tachy's skill and handsome good looks, were constantly trying to humiliate and best him. But their ineptitude kept them from being successful. He had become a prisoner of his own popularity. Knowing he had to get away for a while, Tachy decided to work with the poor, starving children in Tanzania, a country with one of the lowest annual salaries. He spent several years, living in grass huts, digging wells for drinking water, teaching the people how to plant and tend crops, and helping with immunizations.

But the constant work with such a downtrodden people weakened Tachy's spirit and drove him deep into depression. It was at this point that the flame of 3D artwork was rekindled. In a fit of brilliance and madness Tachy created a near future space ship with fully modeled features AND a fully modeled interior. It was considered one of the greatest 3D artworks ever, on a par with such great works as the Mona Lisa and Monet's Starry Night in the 2D world. Fueled by a new zest for life and 3D artwork, Tachy created mesh after amazing mesh, truly he was back. After his brief but turbulent marriage to Cindy Crawford, Tachy decided he had had enough of supermodels and the wild parties he frequented. Tachy married a middle-income girl named Eva Habermann from Germany and settled down.

They are still together to this day and can be seen on his yacht off the southern coast of France, or frequenting the many trendy restaurants in the heart of Paris. While Tachy's lifestyle has slowed down, his love for 3D has not. His current site, www.3d-underground.com, is a veritable treasure trove of pictures. His work continues to draw attention and international acclaim. And this story is far from over, it gains a new page daily. One in which fairy tale meets reality, and where the good guy continues to win.
