PHOENIX ARCHETYPES
A website by Dak Phoenix

Description by the webmaster
This site contains galleries and archives pertaining to my imaging work and will be updated on a fairly frequent basis. I currently use 3D Studio Max 3.1 and Adobe Photoshop for the majority of my work; they are a powerful pair of programs.

REVIEW :
Okay, i won't hide it.Dak Phoenix is a friend of mine...but that doesn't mean i am not going to kick his ass if i don't like his site :)
So , let's start the review.
The first feeling i get when i see the homepage is that there's something plain and solid about it.Nicely designed, with special typography and signs that make it mysterious. The only think to take care of would be to get a better counter that would blend in the site's graphics.
Let's hop to the gallery...now i see a problem...nothing happens when i click on the gallery button...
After trying 5 or 6 times i notice that something moved on the top frame and there is a primary meny for choosing several galleries.Let's pick one.Hu-ho, same thing happens, you have to notice the sub-sub menu under with number appearing...let's click one number.
Well no need to write 400 lines about the fine artwork you'll find there, Dak Phoenix has some very distinctive style , the sharpness of his illustrations are unique, the way he textures his 3D models is also unique.
I badly wanted to go to the archives and visit again his "Art of War" section, but it seems offline ( i'll send him an ICQ warning as soon as i'm finished publishing this ), i'll try later.
Let's try the downloads section, heeeey, i just noticed the scrolling bar is black with red arrows, very cool stuff...is it because i run on Internet Explorer 6 beta ?..mmm, i'll have to check that later too...
Ok, so we have a starfleet computer display and a bottle of champain...it's too bad because anybody seeing that there is a download section will imagine you can get fish'n'ships there , but heh, no ...no ships..so is there any use of having a download section in that case, i am not sure...
So, what would i do if i was Dak Phoenix to make this little jewel of a site slightly better, well not a lot...Dak, fix the Art of War link please, and try to feature it as a legitimate part of the site instead of "archiving it", because it's so cool man !

Anyway, keep up the good work, now i gotta find a very ugly and bad site to review to keep things balanced :)

If you guys want me to review your site ( if it is a startrek site , don't bother asking ), well just post the URL at the forums and i'll see what i can do !
